Legal And Governance
Use this page as a governance map, not legal advice. Your signed agreement and the public Legal Center are the source of truth for customer obligations, product access, and legal terms.
Contract Stack
Review the public Legal Center before production launch. Relevant documents may include merchant terms, acceptable use rules, privacy terms, complaints processes, and data-processing terms depending on your use case and agreement.
Developer Accountability
Integration teams remain responsible for:
- protecting API keys and webhook secrets
- verifying signed webhooks before mutating state
- using idempotency for mutating requests and retries
- reconciling SenteRail events with their own records
- keeping customer-facing disclosures accurate
- escalating support issues with enough evidence to investigate
Regulated Claims
Do not publish claims about licensing, provider relationships, settlement, custody, identity verification, regulatory status, or production availability unless SenteRail has approved the exact wording in writing.
Source Of Truth
When public docs, examples, marketing copy, and signed agreements conflict, use this order:
- signed agreement and written product enablement
- public Legal Center
- account-specific implementation guidance
- general developer documentation
